St. George’s University- Super Dorm 6
Stantec partnered with a Grenadian company – Creative Design Building Construction Company Ltd (CDBC), to provide the design and construction of a five-story, reinforced concrete shear wall dormitory that accommodates on-campus students at St. George’s University. The dormitory has over 81,690 square feet and is one of the largest buildings of its type within the Caribbean and the largest at the university.
The project was a design/build delivery, and our team provided civil and structural engineering services for the project. The design/builder, CDBC, has been a long-term, strategic partner with St. George’s University, and our support members provided fast turn-around services to our client in order to help facilitate their standing as the trusted builder for the university. This project was completed in “record-time” and the skills and productivity displayed on this project were noteworthy to both CDBC and St. George’s University.
