Our client, a top equipment manufacturer, was required to install volatile organic compound (VOC) treatment facilities at its manufacturing plants in China. The goal is to reduce VOC emission amounts to meet discharge standards. 

We were commissioned to provided legal compliance and technical support for the entire process, including demand analysis, feasibility study, and technical review of conceptual design and detail design. We also completed a technical evaluation of vendors and ran an environmental impact assessment (EIA). Our team developed a health and safety plan and provided oversight of installation, a commissioning and acceptance check, and communication with local government agencies.

With Stantec’s assistance, the client completed all proposed scope of work within budget—while also meeting the local government’s collection and treatment requirements. Now, these manufacturing plants can continue their production in a compliant manner.
