Our client, a US-based media and entertainment corporation offering park and resort, film, broadcast, and cable, has been running a corporate supplier social responsibility program for responsible global sourcing. The purpose of the program is to provide better working and safety conditions for employees, improved business operations, increased productivity, and a better position to acquire new business from brands.
Stantec’s dedicated project team works to provide strategic management support of this global program in China, India, and EMEA. Our scope of work for this specific effort includes conducting supplier factory audits, preparing supplier factory audit reports, conducting corrective action plan reviews, assisting with open findings management, and providing regular progress reporting and analysis support for program related activities. It can be cost sensitive for suppliers when it comes to taking corrective actions, so our team has spent a significant amount of time coaching and guiding our clients’ suppliers through the process of making improvements.
