Our client was facing future supply chain issues that could damage their business and reputation. They needed a solution that would not compromise their sustainable and safe production efforts for the environment and their employees. Our job? To assist with the situation and to help implement their desired improvements.
Stantec’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) services focused on their production partners located in China and Southeast Asia. Our experienced team conducted regular internal capacity building workshops as well as knowledge and experience workshops. We identified risks including brand reputation—such as accidents that could be reported via global media—and continuity risks in terms of environmental, health, safety, and labor standards that would result in negative operational impacts.
We developed a corrective action plan (CAP) alongside training to implement the CAP as well as extensive audits based on the client’s code of conduct and specific location regulations. The client now efficiently manages its CSR risks and has significantly minimized the potential negative impacts from its supply chain.
