Pharmaceutical Industry Suppliers EHS Audit

A multinational medical devices and healthcare company wanted to understand and assess the management program and capabilities of their key suppliers in several regions, so they brought in our team to conduct an environment, health, and safety (EHS) audit mainly in China, India, and Europe.

The audit consisted of a focused questionnaire developed in accordance with applicable regulations and industrial practice standards as well as an on-site assessment including document review, personnel interview, and site visit. We classified all observations and findings into different levels based on the severity, and we used a comprehensive scorecard covering all audit topics to quantitatively evaluate each supplier’s compliance status and management capability.

When our work was complete, the supplier had a better understanding of the gaps with respect to EHS compliance, sustainable business capability, and social responsibility, which let the client optimize their supply chain structure to ensure business sustainability.

Besides the audit, we also provided regulatory and technical support to the suppliers to improve their compliance level and management capability, which will help them meet the increasingly stringent regulatory requirements.
