Considering increasingly stringent environment, health, and safety (EHS) regulatory requirements, our client needed a focused EHS audit for multiple key suppliers located in northern and southern China. Our job was to identify EHS issues which may lead to supply instability.
The audits were conducted in accordance with applicable national and local regulations, industry standards, and the client’s procedures. All findings were fully discussed with both the client’s and supplier’s representatives to reach an agreement. Our team assisted the suppliers in developing a targeted and practical corrective action plan for each finding to ensure all proposed corrective actions were balanced between compliance and operability.
Stantec also kept regular communication with client and suppliers to track the correction progress, discuss the encountered problems, and provide related technical support to the suppliers, which ensures that findings were closed within a prescribed time limit.
