An integral role in the construction of the O2 Universum

O2 Universum

The O2 Arena is a landmark convention centre that was completed over a decade ago—it remains one of the best facilities of its kind in Europe.

For this four-story structure, the client asked us to design the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, and to manage the overall coordination of the building services using our extensive experience in 3D modelling and building information modeling. With the ventilation concept concentrating on operational savings, the cooling source will be used in summer only with internal heat gains being compensated by freecooling (without the use of compressors) in winter. The O2 Universum will include 21 new halls over four floors, and has the capacity for over 10, 000 people to attend conferences, sporting, and cultural events. The new building will increase the total capacity of the O2 Arena to 28,000 visitors.

Upon completion in summer 2019, the O2 Universum will bring new jobs, conventions, cultural events to Prague.
