A vibrant hub of activity, Wellington’s city centre is where thousands work, live, and play. Over the next few decades, its numbers are only expected to rise. To keep up with growth, Let’s Get Wellington Moving (LGWM) are seeking to revitalize the Golden Mile—the busiest bus and pedestrian strip in the CBD.
Stretching from the sights of Parliament to the buzz of Courtenay Place, the Golden Mile marks the core of Wellington’s retail, commercial, and entertainment scene. Within these energetic streets, we see the opportunity for better transportation. The Golden Mile is a flagship project for LGWM and a key step to achieving their goal of transporting more people with fewer vehicles. Leading the business case and detailed design phases for the Golden Mile improvements, our team is proud to be representing this project with on-time, to-budget, exceptional delivery. Through bus reliability, wider footpaths, attractive lighting, and more outdoor dining and public seating areas, community wellbeing is at the core of our changes.
We’re bringing innovation to the task of enhancing our capital’s heart, striding towards the ultimate goal of providing quality low-carbon transport choices for Wellingtonians.
