Kāinga Ora Homes and Communities use Māori values to underpin their urban development activities and delivering social housing is an essential priority. This crown entity is heavily invested in reaching government targets to provide a significant number of new homes in the short time frame of two years. We’ve been working with Kāinga Ora to determine and assess the viability of various building sites in Palmerston North for their development potential and identify any risks and estimated associated costs. Having undertaken a significant number of due diligence studies for Kāinga Ora across Palmerston North and other locations, we have a clear understanding of their site requirements.
Our team provided civil engineering, transportation, and flood assessment advice alongside topographical surveys and on-site geotechnical testing and reporting. We added value by using specific geotechnical testing suitable for each site. This method provided more valuable results than the specified testing requirements and helped the detailed design teams offer practical foundation solutions before undertaking thorough geotechnical investigations.
