The Taoyuan City Government developed the Guanyin Multi-Functional Community Center to provide accessible public services, education, childcare, senior care, and community spaces in a single destination. Transforming a traditional market site, the approximately 2,249-square-metre (24,208-square-foot) development integrates a public market, library, community activity center, childcare and family support facilities, senior daycare services, and underground parking.
Our team provided project management and construction supervision services from design review and procurement through construction. We coordinated key parties, managed quality, schedule, cost, and risk, and supported design coordination through building information modeling (BIM) to improve constructability and identify potential issues early.
We also provided enhanced oversight and supported safe work practices. This included life cycle risk assessments, digital inspection tools, real-time monitoring, AI-supported personal protective equipment recognition, and electronic safety management systems.
The project incorporates energy-efficient building systems, site greening, and smart building technologies that help reduce energy consumption while creating comfortable and flexible public spaces. Recognized with Taiwan's Golden Safety Award, the center demonstrates how integrated civic infrastructure can strengthen community connections and support the needs of a growing urban district.
