Supporting a hybrid planning application
As part of a wider program to maximise the long-term return on their land, Harrow City Council is relocating its civic centre. Our job? To provide a full suite of engineering services to deliver the planning application for the new civic centre.
Working directly with Harrow Council we were able to draw on our expertise to ensure all parts of the application were covered and each part was able to quickly react to brief changes and additional scope items to support the planning consultation. Our combined engineering approach led to quick delivery of the planning application, and our integrated approach robustly informed the design program.
The new Harrow Civic Centre, due to open in 2020, will provide improved access to council and community services, new council offices with increased efficiency, and retail opportunities to support the high street and new homes. The delivery of the proposed new civic centre will unlock the significant regeneration potential of the existing civic centre site.
