815 Connecticut Avenue NW

Located one block from the White House and boasting panoramic views of the National Mall, 815 Connecticut Avenue is the definition of prime real estate in Washington, DC. But at nearly 50 years old, the building was starting to show significant signs of age.

The owner’s vision was to reposition the building as a high-performance, sustainable property with a design that focuses on implementing the latest technology and green initiatives to improve aesthetics and operational efficiency. The building's exterior precast panel was fully replaced with a high-performance glass curtain wall system that maximizes daylight, adds trophy aesthetics, and increases marketability. An upgraded central power system with new cooling towers and a new HVAC (heating, ventilation, and cooling) system resulted in significant energy savings.

Our teams helped bring the owner’s vision to life, transforming the property from B Class to Trophy LEED Platinum status. The design adds value for the client and improves the occupant experience through major upgrades to the building's exterior facade, common areas, and amenities.
