Ann Arbor Public Schools - Logan Elementary School

To accommodate a growing community, Ann Arbor Public Schools wanted to create a comprehensive elementary and middle school campus at the Clague Middle School site. They engaged us to help, in collaboration with Fielding International as the engagement and education curriculum expert.

We’re providing architectural and engineering services for the new Logan Elementary School, a four-section, two-story building. We based our sustainable and thoughtful design for the building on the principles of the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS). This green building program integrates national standards and best practices for healthy, high-performance schools. Blending cohesively with the surrounding neighborhood and environment, the school promotes collaboration and outdoor learning and features three outdoor classrooms and three inclusive playgrounds. Prioritizing student safety, our design for the site reduces congestion and school related traffic for the adjacent neighborhoods.

With this new school, the District can provide space to accommodate approximately 550 students, from Pre-K through fifth grade.
