Redesigning the Atlantic Council to accommodate a variety of events
The Atlantic Council (ACUS) desired a fresh, multifaceted workspace to represent the values of the organization. An office to serve as a think tank and media-driven hub that reflects the integrity of the ACUS. Redesigning this 47,000 square foot office space in Washington, DC, is a project we were proud to help with.
The ACUS promotes constructive US leadership and engagement in international affairs. They needed a versatile space to accommodate a large number of visitors and employees and a full range of functions. We believed that a healthy blend of open and closed offices with a large multi-purpose conference center would most accurately meet their needs.
The new high-energy office promotes innovative thinking, collaboration, and learning. There is an 80/20 office to workstation ratio and the conference center can host events for up to 200 people. The ACUS headquarters is designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.
