Captive Resources

Captive Resources is one of the largest, most successful, and most experienced advisors to a member owned group of captive insurance companies in the United States. When it came time to consolidate their headquarters, Captive Resources made it clear that their internal community and its wellbeing was the top priority, and the design should reflect that premise.

Stantec was hired to increase efficiencies and create an elite facility within their newly purchased building in Itasca, Illinois. With a focus on health and wellness, we made updates to the building’s fitness center and implemented height-adjustable desks for all employees. A café offering healthy snack and drink options with plenty of biophilic views was designed to encourage a 360-degree health and wellness philosophy. The conference/training center on the first floor consists of multi-purpose rooms with moveable partitions to accommodate various group sizes. We designed this center to house presentations, employee training, and staff functions.

The city of Itasca has received a new tenant in Captive Resources that is invested not only in the success of its business, but also in the success of its community. The facility now serves as a beacon for job opportunities, adding to the economic and cultural fortification of Itasca.
