Designing a 24-story tower residential oasis brings vibrancy to the heart of the city

As St. Petersburg continues to evolve, this Florida city’s downtown core is being reshaped. To transform an area in the Waterfront Arts District, our client had a vision of adding a new residential oasis. They engaged our team to design a new high-rise building—a 24-story luxury apartment building that’s one of the tallest in the downtown skyline. Intersecting modern forms with rounded corners are inspired by Florida Modernism and visually soften the tower’s presence.

We provided architecture, interior design, structural engineering, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) and fire protection (FP) engineering services. Our design strategy for the building focuses on the user experience and offers contemporary living in 200 units with quality finishes. This inviting destination provides stunning open water and city skyline views with large open amenities, such as a 10,000-square-foot pool deck, co-work lounge, clubroom, and sports bar. Adjacent to the residential tower is an intentionally designed separate garage structure that allows for an expansive pool and amenity deck on the garage roof.  

Emphasis on amenities and ground-level retail in the heart of the downtown provides a rich experience for both the residents of this new luxury tower and the surrounding city alike.
