Franjo Park

Franjo Park was an aging but cherished baseball park. The Town of Cutler Bay wanted to modernize the site and contracted our team to help.

We provided full professional services for the restoration of the park’s three baseball fields and complete renovation of two original buildings. Our services also included planning, design, permitting, and construction administration for new baseball fields, batting cages, bull pens, dugouts, shade structures, fencing, landscaping, a community center, and offices.

Sustainability played a crucial role throughout the project. We incorporated electric vehicle charging stations with preferred parking, grass and turf block parking areas to allow drainage and incorporate pervious surfaces, and golf cart parking to promote the use of electric and alternate transportation modes. Additional features included energy efficient LED lighting and appliances, all new stormwater drainage systems to promote water quality and recharge groundwater, and a state-of-the-art irrigation system and efficient pump.

The Town’s commitment to restoring Franjo Park meets the Florida Recreation and Park Association (FRPA) four pillars of Health, Community Building, Environment, and Economic Impact, which will benefit the Cutter Bay community for years to come.
