We worked with partners to deliver a facility that can be the bridge between home and healthcare
Housing more than a dozen specialty practices, the Jefferson Health - Honickman Center consolidates a variety of services previously scattered across 10 different buildings. This convenient new location for patients is situated on their Center City Philadelphia campus.
Stantec is partnering with Ennead Architects, the core and shell architect, to help plan the facility for its intended ambulatory care use, as well as with BLTa, who are responsible for the underground parking structure. The program for the ambulatory care facility includes over 300 exam rooms, 58 infusion chairs, 10 operating rooms, 6 endoscopy rooms, imaging, lab services, and a pharmacy. A roof terrace at the 15th floor provides a moment of respite for patients in the dense urban setting. We augmented physical space planning with virtual and technology strategies for enhancing patient engagement and convenience during the pre-arrival stage of care. Valet and concierge services ensure a seamless arrival, while Jefferson plans to pursue emerging technologies for the building to optimize the patient experience.
The facility serves as a catalyst for changing the delivery of healthcare and is envisioned to be the bridge between home and healthcare.
