The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute brings together two of Central Florida’s most respected orthopedic and sports medicine organizations—the Jewett Orthopedic Clinic and Orlando Health—into a superior destination for comprehensive musculoskeletal care.
Purpose‑built to support excellence in orthopedic care, the facility houses leading surgeons and practitioners specializing in injuries of the musculoskeletal system. This focus on movement and performance inspired the building’s striking architectural expression, with an angled façade that evokes a runner in motion. Inside, solar‑mitigating elements reference the rhythm of the skeletal system, while angled walls throughout the Medical Office Building emphasize the anatomy and physiology of movement.
Designed as a seamless “one‑stop shop,” the Institute integrates a hospital, ambulatory surgery center, clinics, imaging, and a rehabilitation gym within a single, highly coordinated environment. A centrally located diagnostic center enables fast, efficient service by delivering immediate results for physicians and patients. The facility includes 75 inpatient rooms with sweeping city views and 22 operating suites, five of which are virtually connected to support the training of surgeons around the world.
Performance and efficiency are fundamental to the Institute’s design. High‑performance glazing, sun‑screening strategies, and optimized utility programming work together to achieve a 29% energy savings beyond the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers 90.1–2013 baseline.
Working as efficiently as the caregivers inside, the building delivers premier care within a best‑in‑class facility—supporting Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute’s vision for a next‑generation orthopedic partnership.
