"headline": "LADWP Transmission Cluster Interconnection Study and Process Improvement",

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) provides water and electricity to more than four million people across the City of Los Angeles and surrounding communities. Through the LA100 Plan, LADWP is working to deliver 100 percent renewable energy by 2035.
To support this goal, LADWP partnered with our team to implement a modification to their interconnection process for large and small generators. This work includes conducting transmission planning studies, process improvement, and coordination with LADWP’s interconnection customers. We are also assisting with training and knowledge transfer, a key component of the plan, to enable LADWP employees to manage and advance the process over time.
By developing consistent interconnections study processes, we are helping bring clean energy online faster and support progress toward LA100 and customer clean energy goals. We are providing technical and regulatory support—including system impact, facilities studies, and support with customer engagement and interconnection agreements—to help LADWP establish and carry forward this new approach.
The modernized cluster interconnection study process will help streamline how new renewable energy projects connect to LA’s power grid.
