Bringing skaters together to participate, practice, and perform

Tested by top pros, including Tony Hawk and the Birdhouse team, the Lindo Lake Skate Park in Lakeside, California, brings skaters together to practice and perform. In fact, the skate park, which is part of the Lindo Lake recreational trail network, benefits the whole community. Pedestrian-friendly and offering clear access to and from the park, the space includes spectator viewing and flows into the adjacent trails.

Featuring an open plaza theme and a backyard-style pool for bowl skating, the Stantec-designed landscape architecture was focused on building a neighborhood community. We provided planning, public facilitation, schematic and conceptual design, 3D modeling, design development, and construction document development services. As part of this effort, we created a stormwater management plan—the first for the County’s Parks and Recreation Department—that includes a Low Impact Development (LID) structure.

With rave reviews by the community and skate pros, this skate park provides Lakeside skaters with a modern space to hone their skill.
