Louisiana State University Stadium Game-day Mobility Planning

Louisiana State University’s (LSU) Tiger Stadium is among the largest in the US, attracting massive game-day crowds both inside the venue and across surrounding tailgating areas. With most fans arriving by car and limited roadway capacity, the scale of operations rivals major international events such as the Super Bowl or Olympic Games. LSU engaged us to update and expand their Joint Operations Parking and Planning framework.

We began with a comprehensive review of conditions during the high-profile LSU–Alabama game. Our team produced an updated strategy that established clearly defined operations zones, contraflow traffic operations, and wayfinding and parking access strategies. These enable law enforcement and employees to manage their assigned areas more effectively. Our plan also introduced improvements for charter bus operations, pedestrian infrastructure, signage and wayfinding, and the integration of paid and free parking areas.

With these enhancements, LSU can improve safety, efficiency, and the overall fan experience on game day.
