Reimagining a site with improved operational efficiency through a shared services model, while enhancing the patient experience

Main Line Health - Broomall

When Main Line Health began to outgrow their outdated space in Broomall, they realized their current site still held possibilities with a variety of amenities, security, extended operating hours, and parking. Knowing they needed a partner they could trust to help them reimagine the site and reposition within their existing building, Main Line Health reached out to our healthcare design team to help.

Nature provided inspiration for a layered design that we explored throughout the design process, and it guided the vision of "designing a pathway to wellness.”

This revitalized space features a dynamic two-story lobby symbolizing Main Line Health’s presence and commitment to the community. The light filled concourse adopts a hospitality feel to create a welcoming and comfortable first stop for patients and their families. Expansive skylights above create a connection with glass walls marking points of entry, reinforcing wayfinding and encouraging the use of the daylit stair, connecting people and destinations.

Main Line Health’s patient friendly facility offers patients a respite from the typical waiting room, allowing them to relax, enjoy their surroundings, and focus on their wellness.
