Walking into Marriott’s Caribbean and Latin American (CALA) new regional sales office, you’re greeted with an abundance of colorful accented designs reminiscent of your last Latin American vacation. But how do you model space to support an everyday workforce and the monthly meetings of regional leaders? By creating the free-address system. As employees conduct work that supports travelers, they’re also free to travel around the office.

This free-address system with unassigned desks supports varying work styles, allowing our client to serve their clients better by working where they feel most comfortable. Work areas reminiscent of the destinations that the CALA office supports—the Caribbean, Mexico, and South America—were created to enhance these varying work styles. The Plaza (cafe/pantry), Sala (reception), Patio (alternative work space), and Cabanas (phone rooms and touchdown area) are equally as beautiful as they are functional.

This is no ordinary sales office—the bright lights, beachy accents, and lattice-style design elements heighten the Plantation, Florida, views and reflect the work of Marriott CALA. With this new free-address system, we helped create the CALA office as a model for future locations.
