Passage Bio, a genetics medicine company, wanted their new headquarters in Philadelphia to capture the spirit of their rapidly growing company and reflect the core values and mission of the organization—which is to help transform the lives of patients and their families.
Through branding and technology, we designed the new workplace to be a showcase of Passage Bio’s commitment to transformative science. We used Passage Bio’s signature green as the base palette for the interior space. A warm and welcoming atmosphere stretches over the three floors in One Commerce Square for a total of 37 thousand square feet. We added an interconnecting stair near the elevator lobby linking the three floors of offices and created a vertical neighborhood within the Passage Bio footprint. Public areas, conferencing, and community spaces are adjacent to the stair to encourage movement across the floors and offer panoramic views of the city.
Passage Bio’s key pillars, Identity, Community, and Innovation, were the three drivers of the project and represented the foundation of the design principles. Our design combines architectural and natural materials with rich colors and softer textures, along with environmental graphics on glass walls, to highlight Passage Bio's culture and brand.
