Helping manage the development and implementation of multi-year growth strategy
With various campus locations, 1,300 physicians, and 78 medical office locations, Penn State Health (PSH) turned to our team to serve as owner’s representative to manage the development of their expanding capital projects. Based on our long history of expertise managing projects for Central Pennsylvania Health Systems, we were the right fit for the job.
Developing their initial expansion plan over a five to six-year period, our team is currently assisting PSH in developing various acute and ambulatory care facilities across its campuses. The first of these projects is the Hampden Medical Center. It will feature 108 beds, women’s services, emergency department, six operating rooms, ambulatory care, imaging, clinical support services, rehab/physical therapy, kitchen, lab and retail space. In conjuctinon with PSH, our team has managed team selection, developed the project structure, and lead the budget and schedule development. We also coordinated regulatory filings and approvals, implemented an integrated project delivery methodology, and assisted with land developing and zoning.
The project is now under construction, with the steel erection complete and façade erection scheduled to begin in February 2020. This is a fast tracked project with the goal for occupancy in the summer of 2021.
