A scenic neighborhood revitalization creates a new and distinctive mixed-use destination

Quay Sarasota

The Quay Sarasota is a distinctive walkable district along the waterfront of downtown Sarasota. Our team was engaged to help transform the tract into a scenic neighborhood destination. We provided site planning, entitlement, and design as well as landscape architecture and permitting and construction phase services for the mixed-use development.

Our engineering design solutions also helped address flooding issues on an evacuation route, upgrade a signalized intersection to a pedestrian friendly roundabout, provide stormwater treatment for 50 acres of downtown, and build public parks and trails for the community. The concerted efforts of a P3 arrangement allowed the team to collectively deliver the project sooner and more efficiently than any party could have accomplished on their own. We even assisted the developer in coordinating existing capital improvement program efforts, which would have otherwise been wasted tax dollars, to mitigate for environmental improvements in the Sarasota Bay.

A journey of creativity and evolution, the revitalized development is now well on its way to being a go-to destination in the City of Sarasota, accommodating 695 condos, 175 hotel rooms, and more than 200,000 square feet of retail and office space.
