Providing pavement management services to conduct assessments and determine needed repairs
Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority relies on our aviation team to make sure the pavement throughout their two airports is in tip-top shape. For over a decade, we’ve been performing updates annually for pavement management systems at Reno Stead Airport and Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Together with airline and operational staff, we’ve worked out operational guidelines, site work requirements, and timelines to accommodate construction and airport operations.
We help these airports keep their pavement up to date through a number of tools, from pavement distress surveys and pavement condition index assessments to budgetary analyses, pavement maintenance and rehabilitation recommendations, and linking MicroPaver databases to geographic information system. When we determine that repairs are necessary, we also provide surveying, geotechnical field investigations, and civil design to prepare construction plans and specifications. And we don’t stop there. Once the repairs start, we seal joints and cracks, patch or replace Portland cement concrete partial depth panels, repair spalls, and restripe as needed in one full pavement management package.
