To better support the growing Career and Technology Education (CTE) program at Robert Turner College and Career High School, Pearland Independent School District looked to our architectural team to design additions and renovations that would help facilitate cutting-edge, hands-on learning experiences.
We worked closely with CTE faculty to establish programming goals and determine strategies for completing construction while school was in session. Innovative design solutions included a new culinary arts addition with three professional kitchens and an aesthetic that is compared to kitchens on the Food Network as well as an HVAC and welding addition that provides open, functional space with abundant natural light and an overhead busway system. We also designed agriculture additions and renovations including over 56 new pens, a 300-seat arena, new wash and dry stations, animal exercise areas, and misting fan technology. Our team also transformed an existing ballet studio into a health science classroom and an existing band hall into a robotics area. Entry renovations, a new security vestibule, and a new greenhouse round out the refreshed campus.
The result? We delivered all the spaces needed to support CTE on campus on time and within budget.
