Wanting to better serve their growing student population, Sam Houston State University set out to expand and enhance their existing Recreation Center. They selected us to provide architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design services for this project.
Our updates to the facility included a student lounge and renovated gymnasium spaces for functional and cardio training. We repurposed racquetball courts into spinning and multipurpose studios. For the building addition, we designed a basketball court, storage space, and a tent-drying room.
Today, the Recreation Center not only offers more options, but it also provides students in allied health programs with an opportunity for employment and to practice their future skills.
