Helping Sealed Air to centralize its corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina
When Sealed Air wanted to centralize its corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, they brought in our project management team to help manage the project from start to finish. Nicknamed “Project Beacon”, this corporate initiative sought to relocate 1,400 employees from five separate locations across the US to a new 32 acre, three building campus as its new centralized Global Headquarters in Charlotte.
Our team was selected based on our global expertise in project management as well as our depth of experience within the Charlotte region. Based on these proficiencies, we effectively and efficiently helped Sealed Air conceptualize what the new global headquarters would become. To help bring this conception to life, our team was responsible for the on-boarding of a strong development team. This team consisted of CBRE (broker), Childress Klein (developer), TVS (Core and Shell Architect), HOK (Interior Architect and Designer), and Shelco (Construction Manager).
In preparation for the move to Charlotte, our teams coordinated with Sealed Air’s facilities team and senior leadership to develop a detailed move-in phased plan. With more than over 850 pieces of laboratory equipment from five cities that need to be uninstalled, moved, reinstalled, and certified, as well as the purchasing of two buildings worth of furniture and equipment, our team coordinated the buyout, and completion work for all required trades.
The project was delivered on time, under budget, and met the high expectations of the Sealed Air team.
