An athletic complex to accommodate football, soccer, and other community events

Texas is synonymous with high school football, and New Caney ISD was searching for a stadium design that reflected this ideal. The new Texan Drive Stadium answers the district’s call for an athletic complex with a professional feel – a place that accommodates football, soccer, and community events.

On the lower level, seating is concrete on a berm. As soon as spectators walk through the concession corridor, it feels like they’re in a professional stadium complex. Steel and aluminum grandstands house the upper level seating. And the stadium is equipped with a jumbo electronic video scoreboard. Ribbon boards at the front of the home and visitor grandstands round out the features.

There's also a field house and two-story press box. The field house looks over the playing field, and has a kitchen, administrative office, conference room, visitor training, locker rooms, and a community room with a glass façade.

The first floor of the press box features space for scouts and press. Separate, remote spaces for home and visitor coaches, filming decks, and a hospitality bar. The second floor has a VIP area that can be rented to the community.
