Texas A&M University-College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences

The new veterinary medicine education building and small animal hospital expansion is instrumental in the further development of the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences as a unique, translational, and academic Animal Medical Center. The project promotes connectivity between the Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences portions of the college, encourages interaction between students, faculty, research, and staff and increases efficiency and productivity for staff and faculty. The new building embodies the traditions and culture of Texas in its design.

In addition to multiple classrooms and teaching labs, the 309,000-square foot facility can accommodate 1,000 people in a conference setting, outdoor public space, seminar rooms, live animal study specialist learning and group study spaces, and individual support spaces. Sustainable goals include innovative design features for a LEED Silver design equivalent.

Recessed floors allow incorporation of future technology while movable partitions and furniture and generous technology enable the college to grow and evolve for decades to follow.

The Small Animal Hospital Expansion, completed concurrently with the 300,000-square foot teaching facility includes additional and segregated waiting areas for canine, feline, and other clients with improved registration and check out.
