The Chemours Company Worldwide Headquarters

Chemours wanted a main office that would honor their Delaware heritage, reinforce their global brand, and foster a collaborative, forward-thinking culture for their titanium technologies and chemical solutions business. They engaged our team to deliver strategic business advisory and workplace design services for their new worldwide headquarters.

We began by providing a comprehensive suite of advisory services, which included asset evaluation, conceptual planning, and due diligence for potential sites. We also assessed existing real estate, forecasted operational and maintenance costs, and developed planning scenarios to support long-term viability and alignment with Chemours’ objectives. Through market outreach and regulatory coordination, we gathered critical intelligence, modeled implementation strategies, and guided negotiations for new lease agreements and acquisitions.

These efforts led to the selection of the historic DuPont Building in downtown Wilmington, a site that reflects Chemours’ enduring commitment to the state and revitalizes a landmark asset. Engaging Chemours’ employees and leaders through surveys and workshops, we developed a data-driven design aligned with their values of simplicity, transparency, and integrity. Our design prioritized employee well-being and productivity for over 800 personnel across 10 floors. We also enhanced natural daylight, used bright, simple color palettes, and integrated centrally located decorative staircases with flexible collaboration zones to connect teams and encourage interaction.

The transformed headquarters provides a vibrant, efficient, and welcoming environment that celebrates both the company’s legacy and their vision for the future.
