Tailor-fitted care follows from great project management
As part of our ongoing project management services for UPMC Susquehanna Health, we were brought in to help out on the delivery of a new medical plaza in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. The new plaza, part of the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, was designed for its community—tailored to meet their needs.
The facility includes an imaging suite (complete with CT, mammography, and a shelled space for ultrasound), an outpatient rehab center (containing nine treatment bays, a rehab gym, and a pool), and two clinics (family practice and orthopedics). We worked on oversight and coordination of user-requested changes, procurement of required permits and regulatory approvals, development of good manufacturing practices, subcontractor selection and negotiations, construction, inspections, and occupancy.
With our assistance as owner’s representatives and project managers, UPMC Susquehanna Health saved $500,000—money which was allocated to new projects, further expanding their scope of care.
