Placemaking, landscape, and improved pedestrian connections bring people together in the heart of Dallas

Surrounded by the Design District, Arts District, Klyde Warren Park and the iconic Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, Victory Park is home to more than 1000 residences (with another 2,000 planned), office space, hotel, retail, and restaurants as well as the American Airlines Center (home to the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars sports teams), the House of Blues, and Perot Museum of Nature and Science. It is a vibrant urban neighborhood that seamlessly blends live, work, and play activities.

Area residents and tenants are within walking distance of the popular Katy Trail, a 3.5-mile walking, jogging and bike path, the DART commuter rail, and the Trinity Rail Express, connecting Victory Park to other parts of Dallas, Fort Worth, and the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Our designers were engaged to reposition the whole district, public areas, amenities, and retail. With a focus on pedestrian connectivity and creation of a sense of place, the team employed a program of environmental graphics, and wayfinding that included iconic and interactive district markers that celebrate the local teams. New landscape and hardscape program was introduced to support retails function for all existing and new storefronts facing Victory Park Lane. The results are dramatic—the reposition has spurred a development frenzy.
