West Picacho Metropolitan Redevelopment Plan

The City of Las Cruces wanted to transform an underutilized and blighted area surrounding West Picacho Boulevard. They engaged our team of planners and engineers to help them create a vision for renewal while honoring the past and addressing future needs.

Our team engaged with the residents, business owners, and City employees to obtain feedback on the potential for the area. We conducted small group meetings, public meetings, and pop-up events to reach as many people as possible.

The resulting plan for this corridor includes safe and connected sidewalks, bike paths, and drives. It also outlines an economically vibrant community for local business with inclusive and equitable housing, culturally rich landmarks, and green streetscapes and open spaces.
