West Virginia University - Advanced Engineering Research Building

West Virginia University was looking to expand their research in biometrics, energy, nanotechnology, and biomedical engineering programs. They wanted a facility that would be integral to growing new research areas that support multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research. That new facility is the Advanced Engineering Research Building (AERB).

The AERB was designed with flexible laboratories that would support research in a wide variety of fields. The labs have shared equipment that can be accessed by researches across campus, including a cleanroom for bionanofabrication and materials preparation. The facility also has computer classrooms, lecture theaters, departmental offices, and both formal and informal meeting areas.

With the new AERB, the engineering college can enhance its research abilities and its support of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and National Institute of Standards and Technology.
