A high-profile, branded retail branch bank in the Wrigleyville neighborhood
Wintrust is a major supporter of the Chicago Cubs baseball franchise and they wanted to reflect that to Wrigley Field and the surrounding neighborhood. The client wanted a bank branch that would not only fit into the community, but also express its brand identity, making a seamless connection between its services and community-orientated values.
This flagship retail location lives within a Stantec-designed hotel development in a popular area for entertainment and recreation. Stantec led the architecture and interior design on the branch for a seamless fit into the development. We lined the walls of the ATM vestibule with Chicago brick which continues into the branch. Custom steel grill work was applied to the front of the teller line, identifying each station with an intricate pattern reflective of metalwork at Wrigley Field.
We introduced Cubby blue carpet in the offices to provide a foundation for baseball-themed wall graphics. The tile floor is patterned and colored like that of Gallagher Way and a large digital screen follows and winds behind the teller line, displaying real time games and happenings around Wrigley.
When its doors opened, this bank branch added local flavor to the surrounding entertainment and recreation district, with our design providing the community with a unique retail experience in a convenient location.
