Third-party accreditation to support carbon action
Validating and verifying greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions may be a requirement by regulatory bodies across North America. At the same time, validation/verification may also be an important voluntary component in a robust corporate environmental, social, and governance program.
Stantec provides third-party GHG validation and verification services accredited by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) under the following scopes: verification of organizational assertions; validation of GHG emissions reductions and removals at the project level; and verification of GHG emissions reductions and removals at the project level.

The validation and verification process
Our validation and verification services follow the standards set out by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14064-3:2006, ISO 14065:2013, and ISO 14066:2011. As part of these services, we have a defined approach to the verification/validation process.Reporting programs
