The Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ontario Regulation 851 for Industrial Establishments make safety reviews of certain equipment and processes prior to use a legal requirement. That means employers need to take action and exercise proper due diligence.

Our knowledge and experience in providing pre-start health and safety reviews (PSHSR), sometimes called pre-start safety reviews (PSR), as required by Ontario Regulation 851, Section 7, will identify any deficiencies and help you implement control measures to achieve compliance. Collaborating with your team, we help ensure safety requirements are satisfied without impacting production or maintenance activities.

In accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Labour (MOL) requirements, we provide a report of measures required for compliance (if any), sealed by a professional engineer. We can also perform follow-up reviews of corrective measures and provide a sealed letter of compliance to augment your own due diligence documentation.

Our health and safety team includes industrial safety specialists; electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers; certified industrial hygienists (CIH); and certified machine safety experts (CMSE).
