Cooper University Healthcare Specialty Care Center

To best serve the growing needs of its patients and to improve its regional reach of services, Cooper University Healthcare entrusted Stantec's Project Management team to help manage a four-story, 95,000 square-foot (8,800 square-metre) medical office building (MOB) conversion.

The project scope includes a conversion of an existing building into a medical office building for physician specialty services. As part of the project team, our project managers are serving as the owner's representative for Cooper—which includes providing full project management services throughout the project duration. We’re contributing management and oversight throughout the conceptual, design, construction, and occupancy phases.

Specifically, we are managing the project scope development, schedule and budget, value engineering process, selection of the project team, and contract negotiations. We’re also developing a permitting strategy and coordinating approvals, constructability reviews, and operational impacts. In the final phases, we’ll oversee construction and manage the occupancy and closeout.

When completed, the new MOB will feature specialties in orthopedics, neurology, cardiology, endocrinology, physical therapy, lab services, pulmonology, and nephrology.
