James Wright
Vice President, Regional Business Leader, Buildings (US North Central & Gulf)
With more than 20 years in the design industry, James brings a valuable understanding of the nuances and challenges of leading a design practice. He applies this knowledge in his role as regional business leader and unites Stantec’s diverse business centers, sectors, and more than 400 multidisciplinary practitioners across the region to realize a robust and inclusive design culture.
He brings expertise in client-focused design solutions, operational management, and corporate planning and budgeting. He is a board member of the Kellogg Real Estate Alumni Network (KREAN) and active with the Chicago Loop Alliance, and he earned a BA from Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
James spends his spare time on the lakefront of Chicago and especially enjoys Solidarity Drive in front of Adler Planetarium. On the weekends, he cheers for the Cubs and takes his daughter to play soccer.
