What Aotearoa can learn from the UK about water reform

Water reform is one of the most controversial issues in Aotearoa New Zealand right now. In the UK, water reform is already playing out—the regulated environment pushes water companies to be more equitable, providing consumers with high-quality, efficient infrastructure and service at more affordable rates. However, it has proven to have its difficulties. Tim Williams shares his experience of what it’s like operating in a post-reform environment in the UK, how reform must continue to evolve, and how this can inform our approach in Aotearoa.
