Cathy is passionate about helping communities thrive in a changing climate. She works with public sector clients across New Zealand to make infrastructure more resilient, sustainable, and cost-effective, helping build climate considerations into decisions from the start.
Known for her collaborative approach and practical mindset, Cathy enjoys bringing people together to find solutions that work for both communities and the environment. She is a strong advocate for nature-based solutions, whole-of-life thinking, and designing infrastructure that is easier to maintain and adapt over time.
Cathy enjoys connecting international best practice with local opportunities, working with clients to navigate rapidly evolving climate and environmental challenges. Recently, she helped develop a climate resilience framework informed by Cyclone Gabrielle work, using evidence to show the value of investing in prevention rather than just recovery.
Outside of work, Cathy can often be found at a local repair café, exploring parks with her spoodle, Hazel, or spending time with family.
