Katie Ross-Smith
Senior Principal, Business Center Operations Leader, Environmental Services
With over 30 years of environmental sciences, natural resource management, environmental compliance, and permitting experience, Katie provides project management and technical expertise for a wide array of projects. She specializes in hydroelectric licensing and compliance, river restoration, and watershed resiliency projects.
Currently, Kaite leads our Northern California and Northern Nevada Environmental Services team, which provides technical, planning and permitting, engineering, and management services for clients on a variety of environmental, water resources, engineering, remediation, and restoration projects
Katie is well-versed in National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). She has participated in over a dozen Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) projects in Northern California, which involve relicensing, surrender, and implementation. She has also managed large, multiyear programs, assessing a range of resource conditions, evaluating impacts and developing protection, mitigation, and enhancement (PM&E) measures and management plans.
Away from work, Katie enjoys family time, cheering on her children in sports, running, and exploring the outdoors.
