Digtitalisation is changing the way we understand how wastewater systems operate and how they can be improved. We now have access to immense levels of network data. Largely due to the widespread uptake of smart monitoring devices.
How can we use this data to improve our understanding of assets, support environmental improvements, and bring about massive efficiency gains?
Joanna Kelsey recently worked with UK Water Industry Research to explore this question. In this piece for Institute of Water Magazine, she writes about the purpose of the study we conducted and the implications of new technology for the wastewater sector.
