In this episode of the Interchange podcast, Leigh Stolworthy, transport planning director at Stantec, explores the vital link between transport planning and placemaking. He emphasises the need for early integration of transport and land-use planning. The discussion considers how public transport investment can help reduce car dependency. It also looks into the differing needs of urban and rural areas and how data, metrics, and incremental infrastructure improvements can support active travel and improve user experience.
