Building Better Places
The Better Places approach aims to equip local authorities and developers with the tools to make more sustainable and community-focused decisions around planning and development.
Designing places that put people first
Better Places is a two-year research project with the University of Reading. It aims to develop the practical means of influencing development planning decisions and social value by gathering and spatially-mapping data related to communities’ quality of life. It builds on our Places First research which set out an alternative vision for planning to deliver good growth. Below are the research papers in this series.
