Northern Powerhouse Rail: Keeping a much-needed scheme on track

Northern Powerhouse Rail aims to connect the North of England’s biggest cities, and has been on and off the cards for development for decades. In January, the government announced plans to revive the scheme to help drive growth, connectivity, and development across these regions.
In a recent article for Infrastructure Intelligence from the Association of Consultancy and Engineering, Nancy MacDonald explained the importance of the scheme and what it means for job opportunities, public trust, and more.
